Making its fifth acquisition, online marketplace Snapdeal (Jasper Infotech) has acquired Wishpicker.com, an online gift recommendation portal. The financial details of the deal remain undisclosed.
The acquisition will enable Snapdeal to further personalise user experience and also drive conversions through intelligent recommendations, it said in a press release.
Wishpicker.com, is a year old venture founded by IIT-Delhi, graduates – Apurv Bansal and PrateekRathore offers gifting options using machine learnings based on different parameters like relationship with the recipient, their age, personality, and various other parameters. It also covers suggestions based on Facebook likes and interests of recipient.
