This policy explains what information discountmantra.in collects when you use the website, why, and what you can do about it. In short: you don’t need an account, we never take payments, and we don’t sell your data.
Who we are
DiscountMantra.in (“Discount Mantra”, “we”, “us”) is a deals website. It is run by Jitender Kumar in New Delhi, India, who is responsible for this policy. You can reach us at contact@discountmantra.in.
What we collect and why
- Visit statistics (Google Analytics). We use Google Analytics to see which pages and deals are popular, so we can improve the site. It records things like the pages you view, the time spent, your browser and device type, and your approximate location (city level), using cookies. We don’t use it to identify you personally.
- Clicks on “Buy” buttons. When you tap Buy, you go through a link on our site to the store (Amazon, Flipkart, Myntra and others). The store may set its own cookies so it knows the visit came from us; this is how we earn affiliate commission. What the store collects is covered by that store’s privacy policy.
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep your email address and message only to reply and to fix the deal you reported.
- Server and security logs. Like every website, our hosting server records technical details of each request (IP address, browser, date and time, page requested) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept only as long as needed for security and are not used for anything else.
What we don’t do
- No user accounts, sign-ups or passwords.
- No payments: you always pay the store directly, on the store’s own website.
- We don’t sell, rent or trade personal data.
- We don’t show ads from advertising networks.
Cookies
The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics (to count visits) and, after you tap Buy, from the store you visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google’s opt-out add-on for Google Analytics. The site keeps working without them.
WhatsApp, Telegram and Facebook
If you join our WhatsApp channel, Telegram channel or follow our Facebook page, those services handle your data under their own privacy policies. We only see what they show to channel or page owners.
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and raise a complaint. Email contact@discountmantra.in and we’ll reply as soon as possible, within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied, you can approach the Data Protection Board of India.
Children
This website is meant for adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18.
